Blog Entry: Mmm I've gone off the guitar/violin duo idea. I've been thinking about starting a 50's retro rock n roll band. Playing covers of bands like Bill Haley & The Comets, Chuck Berry, Little Richard etc. When you look at some of those old black & white clips on YouTube - boy those cats can really swing. Its because they have Jazz backgrounds and have played in Swing Big Bands from the 40's. 50's Rock n Roll evolved from Rockabilly, there's not too much difference in the sound although instrument wise the acoustic double bass was eventually replaced by the electric bass guitar. Are there any local  musicians out there interested in starting up a band with me?. I'm looking for experienced players, professional level would be ideal but then happy to keep it open.
